excerpt from poems of the Romanian Gypsy Princess: Luminita
Mihai Cioaba
the grass of the stars is swimming in the sea
and wind, nowlost from too much love
webs a silver lace the black queen is now far away
and waiting here barefoot the wild rose's flower is showing
me away.
even would i want to i couldn't
help searching the call
should i lose my way in charms and in songs
i'd link a leaf in a thread
white blossom of coldness
and then again - even then
The Princess will rise again and show me way........
